PATIO DESIGN - AFTER PHOTOS
When we started designing this outside living area, it was pretty dated and constructed from a hodgepodge of materials. Upon walking out of the sliding glass doors you were greeted by a large cracked concrete slab patio. To the right were dilapidated railroad tie steps that took you to another sitting area paved by red bricks. To the left of the concrete patio was another sitting are made from yet another material. The ceiling to the overhang was not vaulted and had one tiny plastic ceiling mount light that had become nothing more than a crypt for bug carcasses.
The design for this patio was birthed from my absolute obsession with and love of Siloam stones. Siloam stone steps would bring beauty as well as functionality to this private and woodsy Colorado backyard. The rest was history. The classic and gently distressed surface and edging of the Dublin Cobble, in a subtle color, would be the perfect pairing for the Siloam steps. The Dublin Cobble was use to replace the the large concrete slab as well as the two adjacent spaces mentioned earlier. The edges of the patio were curved to provide a more rustic, natural and mountain like feel. The fire pit, cooking area and bar topped with a beautiful flagstone slab was the perfect backdrop for making memories under the starry Colorado sky.
Lastly, for those not so friendly Colorado nights, we raised and vaulted the ceiling on the overhang, and cladded it with reclaimed barn wood. The barn wood was my first ever purchase on Craig's List! The seller hauled the wood from a pig farm in Nebraska back to Colorado. Apparently, he had many ideas and plans for projects, but those plans were not being realized quickly enough for his wife. THANK YOU WIFE!! We chose corrugated steel for the sides, added an outdoor fan and recessed can lights et VOILA!

INTERIOR DESIGN - PAINT - STAGING - EXTERIOR PAINT
EXTERIOR
Sherwin Williams paint, and a new roof brought this beauty into the 21 century. The beautiful provincial brick blend paired well with the warm gray with green undertones for the body of the home. The white trim pulled in the white washed brick. The black shutters and front door were chosen to compliment the darker eggplant colored brick in our blend.
INTERIOR
NEW FLOORING THROUGHOUT: A neutral, taupe Berber was installed in the bedrooms and basement. A high quality LVT from Mannington was placed throughout the main living areas. The LVT color is a neutral brown with a touch of gray undertones and slight, natural wood texture. 6" straight profile floor boards painted white showcased the LVT floor and made the paint pop!
APPLIANCE PACKAGE: We chose a beautiful, sleek black stainless steel appliance package that complimented that kitchen counter tops and perfectly contrasted the natural maple cabinets and weathered bronze hardware.
NEW PAINT THROUGHOUT: Sherwin Williams, Anew Gray, is my new fav! The main living areas and master bedroom were painted with this yummy neutral to cool gray. Anew Gray has the perfect amount of gray/brown undertones; it is subtle enough to let your favorite green velvet sofa be the star of the show, yet sassy enough to not fall flat against that gorgeous brown leather sofa. For the guest rooms and bathrooms we chose Argos. Argos is a fresh, neutral color that whispers blue/gray undertones.
WINDOW TREATMENT: Window Treatments were grommet top, natural oatmeal linen, purchased long so as to be place closer to the ceiling and pool slightly at the floor. Placing the curtain rod closer to the ceiling and hanging a bit wider, allows the ceiling to soar and for maximum light filtration.
